Sprawling across the Seine in Paris's 13th arrondissement is the city's ode to some of the most known laurels they rest on: fashion and design. Architect duo Jakob+MacFarlane have repurposed Les Docks, a historic 1900s warehouse port into Cité et du la Mode et du Design (City of Fashion and Design), one of the latest arts projects brought to the southeast.

Housing Paris' Fashion Institute, Cité opened its doors just a year ago exhibiting private fashion collections from luxury designers Balenciaga and Commes de Garçons. Today, Pigalle founder Stéphane Ashpool, operates his concept store PGL from the docks and will be joined by various up-and-coming brands including pop-up boutiques that will renew on a 6-month basis.

After a long day of viewing Cité's galleries and shops, patrons can grub at Café Praliné or let loose on the panoramic deck of Wanderlust, Cité's nightclub that's already been heralded a Parisien hotspot. Undoubtedly a new playground for the fashion-conscious and perfect for summer trips, let "the City" show you better than they can tell.
