Doug Aitken Rhythmically Destroys His Exhibition at 303 Gallery in New York (Video)

The artist hired percussionists to musically break down walls.

Artist Doug Aitkenheld an exhibition at the 303 Gallery in New York entitled 100 YRS. The show, that wrapped up at the end of March, included a pool in the floor of the gallery with rhythmic drops of water falling from the ceiling. The walls also had interesting typography and lighting.

The show is being demolished, however that is not the end of the exhibition. As Aitken's show moves into 100 YRS, Part 2, percussionists destroy the gallery's walls while filling the air with syncopated drumming. The artist, who is known for his large audio and video installations, never disappoints. Look at videos below showing the first part of the gallery, and its beautiful destruction.
