Designer Jon Stam was recently awarded the W Hotel's "Designer of the Future" Award and has been specially commissioned to design a site-specific project promoting exchange and dialogue within the local community, using the inspiration of the assigned hotel's aesthetics and surrounding. Stam took this assignment to a whole new level, creating "Imaginary Museum #1," where the designer employs micro-LCD screens to capture the unseen information that constantly surrounds us.
The project aims to capture a new medium, where digital artifacts can be experienced all with the simple insertion of a disk. See it for yourself at Design Miami/Basel from June 11-16, 2013.
