Not many class photos are worth a lot of money, however a photo taken in 1941 at Ralph Waldo Emerson Junior High School is anticipated to fetch a pretty penny. This is because a 15-year-old Marilyn Monroe, then Norma Jeane Baker, appears in the photo and she signed it. On May 5 the photo will be sold by a private collector through Bonhams in Los Angeles. It's expected to sell for $7,000 to $9,000.

The full class photo can be seen here. Also in case you're wondering, Monroe wrote on the photo:
To ‘Georgie’

A super, swell fellow
in fact really keen!
(I really mean it Geo.)

Norma Jeane Baker
S ’41.
