Artist ÖRNDUVALD Makes 45,546 Shiny Sequins Look like Soil and Rubble with "Piles" (Video)

The project shows the beauty and ugly in renovation.

In Copenhagen, Denmark, ÖRNDUVALD has a new project called Piles. The work consists of three designs made out of 45,546 sequins. Altogether, the designs are made to look like dirt, water, and rubble, representative of the excavations being performed by the Copenhagen Metro transit company. The work is meant to remind us of the sometimes gritty undertakings necessary for imaginative renovations. You have to see the video below, showing the sequins undulating with the wind.
