Wednesday happened to be the 44th wedding anniversary of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. To discuss the event and its relevance with ongoing conversation about gun violence, Ono tweeted several political messages. One of those sentiments included a photo of the eyeglasses Lennon wore the night he was shot, including the text: "Over 1,057,00 people have been killed by guns in the U.S.A. since John lennon was shot and killed on December 8, 1980." Barack Obama later retweeted the post.
