Renzo Piano architects are working their magic with the Harvard Art Museums, and even better yet, they're taking us behind the scenes of the work in progress. The renovation's goal, as can be seen in the images, is to unite the three museums (the Fogg Museum, the Busch-Reisinger Museum, and the Arthur M. Sackler Museum) under one roof. There will be space added on the second and third levels to accommodate more artwork, and many elements of the original design are being preserved, including the travertine facades, which were modeled after Canon’s House of the Church in Montepulciano, Italy. Look forward to the museum's re-opening in 2014.
