Applying 3D printing technology to their favorite activity, Signal Snowboards, working with GROWit 3D, has successfully created a working snowboard. Using carbon material, the world's first 3D printed snowboard was manufactured in puzzle-like pieces that were put together to make the full length of the board. While traditional manufacturing processes involve taking a larger piece of material and reducing it to create a desired shape, the 3D printing technique builds the board in layers.
