Hassan Rahim is a total artist, in all senses of the definition. After serving as a designer for clients from OBEY clothing and the Hundreds to Bromance Records, he's done multiple groundbreaking self-initiated projects, such as starting publishing company, Shabazz Projects, and art directing Iconograph and Thvm Rag magazines. Most recently, he had his first solo exhibition at HVW8 gallery in Los Angeles, titled The Air Above This Ground, which investigated "the icon" and "nostalgia" as phenomena from a refreshing, unique, and cohesive perspective.
It was about time we did a portfolio review with him, in order to examine the breadth of his work in his own words. In our How to Make it Feature, Hassan's advice was, "Stay true." As you'll see, it's something he does well time and time again.
