Photographer Alejandro Guijarro Creates "Momentum" From Blackboard Workings of Quantum Mechanics

Enjoying physics with your right brain.

Visiting some of the most significant centers of quantum mechanics studies, photographer Alejandro Guijarro has documented the visual works of top physicists. As part of an ongoing series since 2010 called Momentum, he photographed blackboards used by scientists at establishments such as CERN in Switzerland, Oxford and Cambridge Universities in the UK, and Stanford and UC Berkeley in the U.S. While some boards still contain details of the diagrams and equations contemplated by their writers, others only show the chalky remains of a blackboard after being wiped.
