Illustrator Thomas Wilder Depicts New York's Lost Animals

The series is just as lively as the creatures on the loose.

Brooklyn-based studio MGMT.design commissioned illustrator Thomas Wilder to create a series of images documenting odd creatures that have been on the loose in New York. Over the past ten years an array of animals have traversed the Big Apple—dolphins, Bengal Tigers, cobras, a manatee, even a ghost dog in Brooklyn. Each image includes information about the lost animal. The collection has an animated quality that captures the essence of the very creatures they are renderings of.
