Many have made art from Google Street View and Google Earth, but few have done as excellent of a job as Clement Valla. The Brooklyn-based artist studied the algorithmic mapping method of Google Earth in order to realize the universal texture presented by the app, as a result of texture stretching across a 3D space. Most of the structures he captures look unreal, and this is on purpose. Afterward, as you can imagine, he turns his discoveries into postcards.
