The fashion industry has pretty fucked up practices, but lately some of these injustices have been exposed. Chanel Iman recently spoke candidly about the racism that she's faced in her career as a model, and now another issue has been confronted: sexism.

Alex Blimes, editor of British Esquire, recently spoke at a panel full of female magazine editors and The Guardian reports his quote: "The women we feature in the magazine are ornamental...I could lie to you if you want and say we are interested in their brains as well. We are not. They are objectified."

It is quite shocking in the setting he professed this ideal. We're curious to see how British Esquire will act next.
