Katie Vota is a multitalented Chicago-based artist with a penchant for organic projects. "My work focuses on the synthesis of the natural world with interior spaces," Vota said. "My works are atmospheric in how they interact with light and integrate themselves into their environments. I want the work to have a connection to the space it inhabits." She working on a project entitled The Art of Plant Micrography. For her work, she is composing a series of paper cut artwork with designs that are based on cells in natural dye plants. She is slated to display art at the Indianapolis Art Center, June 7 through August 3, however it would be awesomesauce if she could obtain micrographs.
