Aïda Ruilova may not be an artist who you're familiar with, but she should be. Her first gallery exhibition in Los Angeles (at Kayne Griffin Corcoran Gallery), titled I’m so wild about your strawberry mouth, will contain both a film portrait/interview with Abel Ferrara, works on paper, and a debut sculptural work. The interview with Ferrara explores the topics of his films, including love, death, and abject failure. Ruilova responds with manipulations of vintage film posters and works on paper exploring the cult series, Emmanuelle.
Visit the exhibition at Kayne Griffin Corcoran Gallery starting Saturday, March 23 in Los Angeles.
