Streetwear and menswear have been two styles that you could count on "cool guys" to dress in, but this past year brought a style this decade could definitively label as its own: street goth. At the head of this trend, there might not be more influential names than Alexander Wang and A$AP Rocky.
The emcee and designer sat down for an interview session with whom other than Interview Magazine to ask each other questions about what transpired last year, and what we can expect this year.
Rocky recalls 2012 as an epic year, " Well, 2012 was probably the most historic year of my life. I got to work with you for the first time. I'm getting my respect as a video director. The fashion industry respects me and knows who I am." Rocky said.
Wang shared his admiration for Rocky as someone authentic to music and fashion. "When I first found out about you, I was so amazed and intrigued because there was so much genuine interest in fashion there. I remember when we first met, you came to the showroom, and you knew so much about me," Wang said, "It's always nice to find that very authentic connection with someone who really knows what you're talking about, even though they're from a different world."
