As part of Honolulu's Chinatown First Friday Art Walk, the "9 ON THE WALL" photography exhibit opened at The Human Imagination gallery, also celebrating the launch of Contrast Magazine's ninth issue.
“We really wanted to show people the beauty of the photography in the issue,” explained Mark Kushimi, who is the creative director/editor-in chief of Contrast. “Instead of 1’s and 0’s [on-screen], the exhibit is tangible like our print magazine, but adds another dimension. You can walk up to it, examine the details…in a three dimensional space.”
The exhibit features work from Mike Coots, John John Florence, Ken Goto, Sagan Lockhart, Zak Noyle, Lenard Smith, Allen Ying, and Kanoa Zimmerman. Watch the recap by Luke Aguinaldo below:
