Watch Ed Ruscha Speak About His Artist Books at the New York Public Library in March

The prolific pop artist is celebrated for his influence in the art world.

TheGagosian Gallery at Madison Avenue in New York City has announced that they will be presenting an exhibition featuring the artist books of Ed Ruscha and many other artists he has influenced, following his recent self-titled show with the gallery in Chelsea. The exhibit, titled Ed Ruscha Books and Co., will coincide with MIT Press’ release of Various Small Books: Referencing Small Books by Ed Ruscha and will highlight over one hundred of his artist books. View the exhibition from Tuesday, March 5 through Saturday, April 27. 

Ruscha will also be participating in the New York Public Library’s LIVE from the NYPL series on March 6, 2013, talking about his life and the ways he has seen his influence reflected in contemporary art. Director Paul Holdengraber will be interviewing Ruscha onstage with hopes to provoke engaging and enlightening conversation. Find tickets here.
