Although global warming has been a known issue on our planet for many years, we seem to go on with our polluting ways. Brazilian artist Nele Azevedo hopes to change this through a series of ice sculpture projects. Following her 2009 Melting Men installation in Berlin that featured 1,000 humanoid sculptures, her display at the Festival of Queens in northern Ireland sends a similar message of environmental preservation. By presenting her models in various cities, the artist visualizes the melting ice caps through her melting ice men, alluding to our potential future on Earth.
