48,640 images later, Jeffrey Martin, Holger Schulze, and Tom Mills have completed what is now the largest panoramic image ever. Their firm, 360Cities, used a supercomputer to gather enough frames to beat the previous record of a 281-gigapixel electron micrograph of a zebrafish embryo. Three months later, the panorama has arrived, and it's an incredible feat of imaging.
