How do we talk about modern identity in 2013? The upcoming issue of GARAGE magazine, on select newsstands February 9, revolves around the theme of “Me” versus the “Meme," celebrating individuality, even as it manifests itself through vanity and exists in the context of imaging bombardment in today's culture.

Patrick Demarchelier photographed the cover, which has anonymous models wearing Cindy Sherman masks. The magazine itself has extensive features with curator Neville WakefieldBoris Mikhailov in conversation with Juergen Teller, and musicians Mykki Blanco, Angel Haze, and SSION

Additionally, Alex Sainsbury photographed model and athlete Aimee Mullins as a paper doll for the issue, styled in Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, and Burberry. She appears as a housewife, a Goth, a beauty queen, and more. Click through to see examples of the paper doll and pick up the new issue later this week.
