Photographer Olena Slyesarenko has documented portraits of Ukrainian workers on the beach in a series titled Small Economy. In order to highlight the nation's changing landscape as a result of its rapid commercial growth, she captured images of vendors and those working for various unlicensed businesses. Although these people probably will not remain on the beach for too long in the future, their past has established their existence as a cultural tradition.
