JR is well-known by now for being a bold photographer who doesn't limit his work to the gallery or museum. A new short film by Matt Black sheds light on the beginnings of his career, from doing graffiti as a youth in Paris to finding a camera on the metro and starting to take photographs. In turn, he has empowered people around the world to create and participate in the process of expression. As Black says, He’s creating this monster project...showing that we’re all human—all equal.”
