American sculptor Jonathan Borofsky has given Carnegie Mellon University a beautiful gift. His Walking to the Sky sculpture, at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Morewood Avenue in Pittsburgh is a 30-meter-tall triumph of daring art. As you can see, it's a tilted pole made of stainless steel with resin people walking on it towards the sky. Bystander sculptures watch the walkers in a serendipitous, gravity-defying, and surreal way. If you find yourself in Pittsburgh, definitely check this out in-person.
