Jeremy Scott's shows have become some of the most anticipated events of New York Fashion Week. The designer always offers a break from the austere environment that seems to take over the rest of NYFW, and this season was no different. Even before the FW13 show began the crowd was visibly stokedΒ on the people-watching that topped every other show this season.
And then the industry's top models come strutting out rocking clothes that were so outrageous, so ridiculous, and so coveted that everyone in the audience, even the front row folks, dropped their chic scowls and started cheering for almost every look. The collection featured a ton of trippy monsters prints, and numerous pieces had large details that looked like Saturday morning cartoons on acid. And, of course, there was a neon green gorilla-like suit with a train that closed the show. A$AP Rocky went wild for that one.
The reception was overwhelming, and the crowd, which also included CL from 2NE1, Bryan Boy, and A$AP Ferg, gave a huge ovation to the designer who is clearly having a blast at his job and providing the most fun at NYFW.
