Last month, Beck released a new collection of songs; however, he didn't release these tracks in the traditional sense. Instead, Beck released a book titled Song Reader. The book offers sheet music (not previously recorded by Beck himself) urging fans to express themselves in the way they see fit. The book also offers a variety of artworks, one including cover art designed by famous typographer Jessica Hische.
Lucky enough, Beck and Hische's work did inspire fan art, one of them being a recreation of the book's cover design. Ham, a loyal fan of Beck's (and owner of fan site, Hambeck) recreated the book's cover by paper cutting the intricate type work of Hische.
The inspiration passed from artist to artist is circulating quite beautifully. It seems the songwriter's vision is being carried out quite successfully. Well done, Beck.
