The work of Finnish environmental artist Kaarina Kaikkonen is entirely composed of used items, more specifically second-hand T-shirts, but her collection and overall display present a completely new perspective. Her installations typically involve hanging clothing in free suspension both indoors and outdoors spaces. The artist's most recent project Are We Still Going On? features children's shirts as her material, arranged by color in rows that collectively form the shape of the interior hull of a ship.
