Artist Brian Jungen Constructs a Recycle Bin Turtle Shell in His Installation "Carapace"

The artist explores mass production in the recycling industry.

Vancouver-based artist Brian Jungen created a domed turtle shell made out of recycling bins and industrial waste. The installation entitled Carapace reflects on mass production and how the industry of recycling itself isn't impervious to big business. In the past, the artist has made many different works out of found material.
