Recently St. Anthony's College in Oxford started construction for a new project by noted architect Zaha Hadid. The Middle East Center will be a bridge building that will host a new library, research center, stacks, auditorium, cafe, and individual reading rooms. It will also focus on supporting the interdisciplinary study of contemporary middle eastern culture. The building's 1200 square meters has an organic metallic structure that mirrors and distorts the surrounding environment. Multiple skylights bring life to the reading area and spectacular frame-less glass panels surround the courtyard. Sounds like a fine place for learning.
