Haus D10

Location: Germany

Architect: Werner Sobek Design

Sandwiched between a plinth and an extending roof, the walls of Haus 10 are made almost entirely from glass. Seen through the windows of the living room is a large golden door which can slide to reveal the concealed kitchen. Despite the lack of insulating building materials, the house generates enough solar and geothermal energy to meet all of its energy needs.
