Stolen Matisse Painting Will Be Returned to Stockholm's Museum of Modern Art

The 25-year-old piece returns to its former glory.

25 years ago, Matisse's Le Jardin painting was stolen from Stockholm’s Museum of Modern Art. The $1 million painting was supposedly given to British art dealer Charles Roberts by an 85-year-old man. The painting is currently in London until it returns to Sweden, where it will receive a welcomed albeit unexpected return to its former home.
