One of the original prints depicting the Hiroshima bombing has been found in Honkawa Elementary School in Hiroshima city. What makes the discovery so significant is the fact that no more than three ground-level photographs exist. Although the photo's existence has been known about (it was reprinted in a 1988 book), the original has finally been recovered.

In the photo, you can see the two-tier mushroom cloud from what would be now the city of Kaita, located 6 miles away from the bomb's impact. While the image is a grim reminder of this violent event, it's remarkable that they've found such an important artifact historicizing it.
