In a project titled Dogwool, photographer Erwan Fichoudid a series of portraits of dog owners wearing sweaters made of their dogs' fur. Usually fur coats and clothing made of animal products are inhumane, but not when you send your dog's shedded fur to Doumé Jalat-Dehen, of Brittany, France. Jalat-Dehen will either produce a ball of dog wool yarn or customized pieces such as hats, sweaters, and vests, using your dog's own fur. The fur is collected from regular brushing and natural shedding, and isn't forcefully gathered. If you love animals but would still appreciate the fuzzy softness of animal fur, consider a harmless dog wool sweater.
