It's that time of the year again, where everyone is inundated with runway shows. Instead of posting every single show that happens (why would you do that, really?), there are a select few shows that are truly worth your time. Maison Martin Margiela is one of those shows. Long before Hov, Yeezy, and Rocky co-signed the Belgian fashion house, the brand was well-known for outside-the-box designs. The brand's fall/winter collection for 2013 differentiates itself from other menswear or high-fashion lines with the use of proportion and color. Patchwork cardigans with leather pants and oversized trenchcoats with turquoise boots aren't looks that everyone can pull off. But the secret is to pull select pieces from collections and make them work for you. Take a risk, it may pay dividends.
