Kendrick Lamar has really upgraded his style. The Left Coast emcee performed on Saturday Night Live last evening in a murdered-out ensemble. The star of the outfit? The hooded down vest. While the emcee sonically might be a throwback to other West Coast legends that were birthed out of The Good Life and Project Blowed, his style is indicatively hardcore late '80s and early '90s hip-hop. One can't help but look at these photos and harken back to when N.W.A. stomped through streets, or Chuck D pretty much ripped any record that he touched. It looks like Kendrick will continue this legacy of dope lyricism, fly clothing, and an awesome demeanor.
