There are brands that find out what the latest trend is and try make consumers believe it's something new: inspiration story, lookbook, and all. Then there are brands who actually go out and create the trends, trying not to be absurd for fashion's sake. Isaia is the latter.

Remember when you had to read Ralph Waldo Emerson's "The Poet" in some snoozer class in college? Emerson said the only real poet is the one who expresses original ideas that aren't copied or "inspired by" anything. Well Isaia came to Pitti Uomo looking like a damn good poet. Need proof? The brand created a nylon material that looks like legit Donegal tweed. It's also available in a flanneled shadow windowpane, brushed gingham and a flanneled glen check. Mind not blown yet? How about a pre-pilled double-breasted top coat, in bright red. We pray that Mos Def or Yasiin Bey (whichever title is more appropriate) is all over this. Please, Dante Smith, rock this shit in public this year and make our jobs a little easier.
