The MIB organization has clearly had a long standing deal with the Ray-Ban company--and why wouldn't they, when Ray-Bans are so effective against the memory-erasing Neuralyzer? (In the real world, the product placement deal did infinitely more wonders for the sunglass company, whose sales skyrocketed after the release of the first film.) But the style of specs that agents wear has definitely changed from the 1960s to today. Agent J's have a much more modern feel than Agent K's, which are reminiscent of the classic wayfarer style worn by 1960s icons like Bob Dylan and Buddy Holly.
