Last Tuesday night, The Whitney Museum of American Art hosted its annual Gala and Studio Party, sponsored by Microsoft and Pamella Roland. It raised over $2.7 million for the museum and allowed guests to create their own art using screens around the dancefloors. Using the Windows 8 app "Fresh Paint," they installed a 55” touchscreen, and as you can see from the photos, guests were creating virtual paintings before their eyes. The Studio Party also included Instagram prints for sale from artists like KAWS and Drew Heitzler.
