Irish photographer Tom Wood has spent the better half of the last 50 years snapping candid shots of everyday people in Liverpool. He hits everything from the football pitch to the night club, toying with the potential of various formats and styles along the way. As such, his work transcends portraiture to function as a exploration of the medium of photography itself. While often quite depressing, the images he produces also celebrate Liverpool and its inhabitants. Men & Women is the first major solo exhibition of Wood's work in the United Kingdom.

Tom Wood: Men & Women runs through January 6, 2013.
