Jean Paul Gaultier to Launch a Streetwear Collection Starting 2014

Responsible for man-skirt fashion, Madonna’s conical bras, and designing the wardrobe for the movie Fifth Element, Jean Paul Gaultier will start a new venture into streetwear. The unnamed collection will be for a younger clientele that will include men and women, and will launch Spring 2014.  He has always had a penchant for using street and pop culture references in his collections, so this isn’t foreign territory for the designer. For now we can only use his brands Junior Gaultier and Jeans Paul Gaultier (remember the collaboration with Levi’s?) as a guide on where he will take the new brand. We’re already expecting a few pieces with nautical stripes.
