Sebago Brewing Company's “Grand Crüe” label may suffer from a bad pun and awkward tattoo reference, but one thing is certain: In 2013 beer art hit its stride. Danish band Ring Them Bells connected with Mikkeller to produce a beer label worthy of best album cover art of the year. And, just went you thought beer art was getting too aggressive, Port Brewing proves that the favored illustrative style of yesteryear can still achieve winning results. The point here is that diversity is winning. Beer drinkers raise a glass, a revolution of visual culture is spilling from the glasses of craft brewers around the world.
