In a Tumblr post titled RIP VHJ, Nicola Formichetti announced that the Autumn / Winter 2012/13 issue of Vogue Hommes Japan will be its last. According to the letter addressed to all readers of the publication, Condé Nast "will be switching its men's publication globally from Vogue to GQ Style." This would also mean the end of Vogue's male editions in France, Italy, Mexico, Turkey, India, China, and Brazil. Formichetti hinted at his next undertaking in publishing, only saying that the next venture will be with Shun Watanabe and Junsuke Yamasaki, his fellow fashion team members at Vogue Hommes Japan.
