Hurricane Sandy delivered a crushing blow to Chelsea's art galleries. Flooding, especially, damaged both exhibition and storage space. Uptown, on York, a different story unfolded. On November 2, 2012, while much of the city was still recoiling from record swells and stirring winds, Sotheby's landed over $11 million selling prints.
