Bono and his wife Ali have partnered with Renzo Rosso, the founder of Diesel to launch a collaboration that will source and manufacture fashion products in Africa to be sold at Diesel stores by March 2013 under the name Edun+Diesel. Bono and Rosso consider the continent to be rich in resources, innovative spirit, and economic development. The U2 singer and Italian fashion entrepreneur are quick to say that this project is not a philanthropic endeavor, but instead is meant "to generate sustainable development."
