Supreme

Origin of the Name: "Supreme wasn’t meant to be a brand. I just was like, 'Hey, that’s a cool name for a store.' But it’s become a problem since it’s become a brand because we don’t own the name. It’s a good name, but it’s a difficult one to trademark." - James Jebbia, Interview Magazine 2009

The mystery continues as to exactly how "Supreme" popped into the heads of Jebbia and crew, other than the fact that it sounded like a "cool name for a store." What we do know is that, in 1994, a brand that changed the game was born.
