Female Ghost with Spider Web

Similar to the Sasaki Bizan painting on display, the unhappy female ghost yurei rises to seek vengeance and haunts the acquaintances who caused her harm during her lifetime. The bones are amidst flames which suggest that the body was cremated. The borders of the painting represent the claustrophobic and inescapable space of an enveloping spider web.
