Siemens has made the world’s largest rotor blade for wind turbines, with measurements comparable to the wingspan of an Airbus A380. To be more precise, the B75 Quantum blade is 75 meters long, with blades that move up to 80 meters per second. Siemens will be installing 300 wind turbines off of Britain’s coast, making way for a new generaiton of groundbreaking power sources and setting higher standards for sustainability worldwide.
