Earlier this week, we asked you all to vote for who you think will be the Man of Next Year in Style between Aaron LevineDao-Yi Chow and Maxwell OsborneMark McNairy, Paul Mittleman, and Tim Coppens. And after tallying up the votes, the people have spoken.

The Man of Next Year in Style is Mark McNairy. Netting 49% of the vote, McNairy edged out the competition for the award.

With decades of experience in fashion design, McNairy previously worked for SHIPS, had his own lines McNairy Brothers and 68 & Brothers, before he was appointed Creative Director of preppy clothier J. Press. While there, he applied his trademark quirkiness into the storied label's garments. This same juxtaposition of traditional menswear and a modern style carried over to his namesake line, Mark McNairy New Amsterdam.

In 2012, the designer's resume only got more impressive, as he took the lead design role at Woolrich Woolen Mills, linked up with Pharrell to design his Bee Line for Billionaire Boys Club collection, and had rapper Danny Brown close out his most recent fashion show as well as model in his lookbook. Few menswear designers have done as much to build a relationship with the hip-hop world. For 2013, we can expect to keep being pleasantly surprised by the designer, whether it's cheeky collaborations, more rapper co-signs, or continually impressive clothes.
