Levi's Crushes Old Recyclables to Create Jeans for the Waste < Less Denim Collection

More of a reason to toss those bottles in the recycling bin.

Companies are trying to find more ways to be eco-friendly these days. We're seeing more organic dry-cleaners and even edible wrappers, and it seems everyone is channeling their inner Captain Planet. Levi’s is changing the way jeans are made with the new Waste < Less Denim Collection. The San Francisco company is crushing old recyclables into little flakes to make fiber mixed with cotton to create threads for your jeans. While it’s nothing new (see Pharrell’s Bionic Yarn endorsement), we like to see companies adopt new production methods for an environmentally safe future. The collection is set to drop next spring.
