Home Buyer Purchases a House With a Slide And Removes It

Why would you ever do that?

A year ago, poker player, Phil Galfond, connected the top and bottom floors of his East Village penthouse apartment with a steel slide. He recently sold the place to Canadian software millionaire, Daniel Gieschen, who is making public his intentions to get rid of the slide. We can only assume that he's either a) a very sad person who likes to destroy dreams, b) blind, or c) dumb enough to buy a place and perform such a terrible act of renovation. According to listing broker Elizabeth Kee of Core, “He plans on inviting all his friends to America for a slide party, and then he wants to donate the slide to a children’s museum or to a charity."
